Common questions.
WooCommerce or Shopify, which do you recommend?
For most Liverpool independents, WooCommerce. It’s open source, no monthly fee per sale, and it plugs into your existing WordPress. Shopify wins if you’re selling internationally at high volume or need Shopify POS in a physical shop. We’ll tell you honestly which fits your case.
What payment gateways can you integrate?
Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Clearpay, GoCardless for direct debit, Square if you already use it in a shop. Apple Pay and Google Pay come free with Stripe. Fees are Stripe’s, we don’t take a cut.
Do you build product bulk-upload tools?
Yes. If you have 50-plus products we set up a CSV importer (Product Importer built into WooCommerce, or WP All Import for messier data). One spreadsheet, one upload, done. Variations, images, and stock levels included.
How do you handle VAT and shipping calculation?
VAT is set at the product or category level and shown at checkout for UK customers. Shipping calculates by weight or by product using Royal Mail or Parcelforce zones, with click-and-collect as a free option if you have a shop.
Can I sync stock with my till or Xero?
Yes. Xero integration is native (WooCommerce Xero plugin, one-way or two-way sync). Square POS syncs both ways. Lightspeed and Vend both have connectors. If you’re on an obscure till we’ll tell you honestly before we quote.
What’s the launch timeline for 50-100 products?
Five to six weeks from a signed deposit. Week one is scoping and design, week two is theme and checkout, weeks three and four are product upload and staging, weeks five and six are testing and launch. Longer if the product data is messy.
